Who we are

Where do we come from?

Starting from the ground up in 1997, our principal James Riley rejected an offer for partnership in a large commercial insurance firm to instead embark on his own adventure, creating Riley, Gray-Spencer Lawyers, now – RGSLAW.

Since then, RGSLAW has developed a strong reputation for consistently generating exceptional commercial results, typically expected of much larger firms.

Why are we different?

RGSLAW’s specialist boutique firm model means we focus on our clients’ needs and business drivers, and are of a size to give our array of clients dedicated and focused attention. We are a firm of integrity, high-quality work, and efficiency, whose competence is reflected in the results we achieve.

Our structure addresses the future of legal services, without compromising on quality, with the right people, who are hand-picked for their passion and skills. As a small firm, every staff member is a welcome part of a close-knit internal team that takes pride in our work and our external community endeavours.

Our clients turn to us for advice on the most complex and diverse legal disputes, because they know RGSLAW will give their matters their complete focus and attention, whether it be a multi-million dollar commercial dispute, or the review of a small agency’s decision.

RGSLAW is a group of legal enthusiasts and professionals that listen and deliver on quality, outcomes, and cost.
